Librarians, GN, NYC Comic Con

Thanks for the librarian oriented site reccomendations. I figured out my account problem and sorted it out, but it deleted my last post that I'm a YA Librarian at Brooklyn Public Library working on promoting manga and anime in my branch.

It looks like our group will attend the NYC Comic Con. Is anyone else attending? http://www.nycomiccon.com

I'm seriously hoping I'm able to go. I've never been to the NY Comic-Con... or new york for that matter :-P

I've never thought of people actually checking out comic books or graphic novels at a library. Are they popular at the BPL?

I get a lot of comics from the NYPL. The selection is great and using the reserves system is very convenient. I even have a nypl goodreads shelf.

I'm registered, but don't quite know if I'll be going yet. But since library folk qualify for free pro badges, it's no big deal if I'm unable to go.
