We all have our favorite artists, genres and albums. But we also have our phases, the ones through which we go through.

So, for music, there is always a current favorite. A song, a singer which you re-play again and again, until your music system refuses to play it, or your room mates threatens legal action!!!!

In short, share that one or two, or more than two, songs which you cant live without, presently.

My current favorite artist has to be Alison Krauss.

The songs I am listening like crazy,
1. How's The World Treating You.
2. Wish I Still Had You

Kumar Ankur (kankur) | 201 comments I am listening to a lot of "The Clash" nowadays.

My favorites by them would be:
1. Should I Stay Or Should I Go
2. Janie Jones

Another song that I am listening to a lot lately is "Have Love Will Travel" by The Sonics. Listen to the opening riff of this song. Its awesome!!

This Alan Parsons song was a huge favorite of mine when I was in school, I had his discography permanently on my cd player.

BTW, do you know Parsons was the sound engineer of the Floyd album DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

WIll surely listen. Especially for the riff you mentioned. One of my favorite riffs would be the Beat It riff played by Steve Lukather.

Yes, hauntingly beautiful!

Actually it reminds me a lot of Shirley Bassey's Diamonds Are Forever.

I personally think Nancy Sinatra's "You Only Live Twice" is one of the most interesting Bond soundtracks.

Taken that fact in account , this song by Adele is also a huge success I would say.

This song is very haunting, if you actually read the novel, its very sad at the end.

My favorite OSTs came from ROger Moore period, the Carly Simon, Sheena Easton, I just cant get enough of those pop ballads. :)

message 18: by Kumar (new)

Kumar Ankur (kankur) | 201 comments Ocean by John Butler Trio

One of the most singularly awe-inspiring instrumental tracks I have ever heard. The rapid finger-picking, percussive hammers, it's simply brilliant. Butler is a genius.

Stupid, that's exactly the one I posted the link to! It's by Lighthouse Family!

My fav Notting Hill song would be: 'When you say nothing at all...' (Boyzone)

message 33: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan @ Dyuti - No Stupid. The Notting Hill one is by Bill Withers!

message 34: by Dipanjan (new)

Dipanjan @ Dyuti - Buy DVD of Notting Hill. Watch the movie, not a youtbe remake. The Nottinghill soundtrack is by Bill Withers. Lighthouse Family were babies when Grant and Roberts were romping Notting Hill.

@Dyuti and Dipanjan....No one sang 'When you say nothing at all...' as good as Alison Krauss.
