Alex Williams (alexwilliams) Ha! It's a great book. I read it in one sitting. Even though it is great for fiction, it also gives you some good facts. I can't wait for IV!

Guy (GaiusMagnus) | 8 comments I have read the series to date. It is very good and I have become quite attached to Fronto. it is a gritty series - caligulae in the mud...and blood. Strongly recommend it.

Jane | 51 comments I liked it so much when reading the series first time, though I was disappointed when I started to reread. Some books just don't hold up, I guess. Mr. Turney has lot of talent, though.

Guy (GaiusMagnus) | 8 comments Sometimes, once is enough. It is not great literature, just a damn good story. It's never the same when you know the end!

Jane | 51 comments Maybe Mr. Turney's forte is really short stories -- I enjoyed his Marius' Mules: Prelude to War upon rereading.
