Continuing my rereading binge with the Night Huntress series. Only two more books to read before I am caught up again. I could say its in preparation coz the last book of the series comes out in Jan.. but honestly I just cannot get myself interested in stuff I have no previously read right now. Which is sad coz I still have not finished my reading challenge for this year :(
I am with you Arushi, I have new books to read, but I keep re-reading good ones that I've already read.I still haven't finished Tempt the Stars, Styxx ... or a few other books I had been waiting on.
I just finished my 4th book this month,
Holiday in Death (In Death #7) by J.D. Robb. My next book is
Midnight Frost (Mythos Academy #5) by Jennifer Estep I don't think I'm going to reach my goals this year of 190 books. For I've spent a lot of watching anime and working a project called Helpful Garden.
I can't take this series *(Mythos Academy)* anymore, though many people have told me just to hang on for it gets better. Maybe in the future but I just can't take the main character anymore for I want to kill her. So I went on to : *Two Ravens and One Crow (The Iron Druid Chronicles #4.5) by Kevin Hearne* and it was great.

@Dale - I read Mythos Academy too and I know what you mean. I do not want to exactly kill Gwen.. yet but yeah I do think she is TSTL sometimes. No, as far as the main character goes, the books do not get better. So I suggest you do not torture yourself again - its not worth it.
@Llaph - I finally some progress :) One new book read but man.. while I liked the book, I feel like curling under a blanket with a reread of a series again! There are so few books I want to read right now.. its kinda sad. I am glad at least two of them are coming out this month as I only have two more books left on my reading challenge. Whew!

I just finished Lick by Kylie Scott. I really like the way she writes her characters. She made them damned real in a zombie infested dystopia in her Flesh series. In something like Lick, which is actually set in reality, she is spectacular. I might not be this happy about it tomorrow, but I actually still have to come down from the high of her story.

only took forever. while i did enjoy it its not one of my fave's. it was rather slow paced, non of that flying by the edge of your pants feeling that i love.not sure what i'll be reading next

I loved the second book. Just read an ARC of the third. It's a good series with a good premise. I just wish it wasn't so predictable at times.

Haven't been here for a very long time but that wasn't because I didn't have time, but because the goodreads blocked me! Seriously, except from adding and rating books, I couldn't put any comment! I have no idea why that was but finally I am able to write again, so 
T be honest, lately I've been re-reading some of my favorite books, like The Golden Dynasty Impulse,Gravity and few more, but I also managed to read some of the new books, like Shine, Blood Finale, or anthologies such as Kicking It and A Christmas to Remember. Some of the books I've read weren't exactly new, but were new to me, like Feral Sins or On the Edge. Now I am reading Avoiding Temptation and so far so good :).
Hopefully in the future I won't be blocked by goodreads and I'll be able to put comments whenever I like, but if not, I want to wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year! XXX

Thank you, I'm glad as well. You have no idea how many times I was yelling at my computer LOL :D. The whole "comment" box was yellow and I couldn't write anything at all. Not only in this discussion group, but non of my groups wanted to put me through. I can't remember the last time I got so worked up :/. But thankfully everything is fine now and hopefully it's going to stay that way :D

yea it can be rather predictable. i thought the zombie underground thing was pretty obvious, except apparently for the characters in the book. lol.
i actually enjoyed the 1st book more, but im hoping the third will be the best of the 3. lucky butt getting a chance to read the ARC.
DownpourIs it bad that I figured it all out for the most part in the 1st 1/3df book? Not my fav of the series, but I still <3 series.

Stumbled across a discounted UF series on UK Amazon that is really pretty good. Demons of Oblivion: by Sklya Dawn Cameron. Have read 1,2 and 4. Will start 3 tonight. Very much UF rather than PNR, 1 and 4 are the same POV a 300 yr old female vamp, but 2 and 3 are different POVs, and she starts to develop an overarching story through all the books. Naff covers but definitely worth checking out if you like snarky heroines.
I grabbed that series when 1 st was free . Tales of the Wendigo has all of the shorts in it, I'm sure for the most part. It lacks Damged and collection mostly of nate shorts for $2.99 you can only get from her site--which I have not done yet.For christmas she released a xara and nate short that is set after oblivion way in the future. Only friends of alchemy red on facebook can dl it . I just joined it. Dial V for Vampire

Hi guys! Sorry I've been absent lately. I was the one in charge of setting things up for Christmas. Anyway, I've been re-reading the Harry Potter series. It makes me SO HAPPY.
For some reason, I can't find anything I want to read lately. I'm in the mood for really good UF but can't seem to find it.
