This is a page where you can just rant about anything, like the decreasing size of Big Mac patties, or how unfair it is that I can't get a copy of The Mark of Athena, or the Skycrane technology that NASA has developed. Go ahead, rant!

Does anyone else hate it when authors put their name in a larger font than the title of the book? It annoys me so ____ing much. Yes I'm fully aware that the authors may or may not design the cover, but all I can think is; 'what a bloody egotist'. It's not right. Okay, I can kind of understand it when the author is actually the selling point, like Stephen King for example. No one buys his books because the premise seems interesting, or from interesting cover art, but because it's Stephen King. But everyone does it. Even authors who have only written one book. I mean, if I read your book and I like it, then I'm just going to google your name and find out about your other books. I don't need you to signpost your name in size 72 font across most of the cover, like someone compensating for something (like a lack of talent, or unresolved mother issues). What you should be selling is the story, not the person.
You know, I feel much less stressed now.

Or when an author just comes on Goodreads so he or she can randomly put "Read so and so!" in a topic that has nothing to do with the topic. Speaking of which, read my upcoming book, please!

Is that meaning they commit murder itself using maths (a blow of 53.45 Newtons will result in a incision of pi cm deep, give or take phi cm due to flesh resistance), or they chose their victims using mathematical patterns, or something else?

Isn't it so annoying when you go to a fast food place and order something as loudly as you possibly can, the cashier gets your order wrong, and you politely ask her to fix it for you and then she has the audacity to say that you, the customer, was in the wrong????????!!!!!!Ahhh much better. thnx for the page :{D
~BYE~

More like the date and place it happened, but do you mind if I use some of those ideas?

Thank you, my good lord. Aren't you going to sign up for the election?
((P.S. I am currently at the library.))

I considered it, but have no idea what a moderator does. If it's time consuming, I'm reluctant as time is a valuable commidity in last year of high school. Wanna get good marks.

Oh, right, the capacities of your brain are thought by many-including me-the human equivalent of 'smart.' 14?

Ah, the curse of the misanthrope. I know it well. Anything in particular?

So today I was at the library right, and I was looking for the first book in a series (it was the gunslinger, by the way) and they didn't have it. They had the rest of the series, but not the first. I checked the online catolouge and everything. It wasn't just already lent out, or at another associated library, but simply not there. That's abusrb! And don't just remark; 'oh, silly badger, it was probably just damaged', it wasn't. I reserved replacement books before. And anyway, it's a common book. Seriously, it's Stephen King. The mere name is something that gets books into shelves these days. They could probably find it anywhere. I fully aware I could too, by the way. I'm just really, really cheap.
Needless to say, I was outraged and marched straight into head offices and delivered a stunning speech on, amongst other things, fundamental business practices and the rights of mankind. Okay, that last bit was a lie (I was moody for a while, then went to look at the psycology books), but I did it in spirit.

There you go again! Why must people take the time and effort to point out my obvious contradictory pattern of thinking?

Most of my local bookstores have got rid of any chairs, and I'm sick reading in 15 minute blocks because anymore than that and staff start staring angrily at me. I've been kicked out before, and would prefer not to be banned.
