Larry Retzack (buppanasu) | 1 comments From what I've read in The Nation's classifieds, may I assume the 7 Sisters comprise all Ivy League schools, Stanford, U of Chicago, Northwestern U? If so, I'm a former student @ the latter but not an alum; just an ABD. Currently I'm reading Made to Stick by Chip & Dan Heath.

Actually, the Seven Sisters are the companions to the Ivy Leagues. They are: Mount Holyoke, Wellesley, Smith, Barnard, Vassar, Radcliffe, and Bryn Mawr. Standford is generally considered the "Ivy League of the West" and Northwestern is Big 10. Also, the Seven Sisters were all women's colleges although only four (Mount Holyoke, Wellesley, Smith, and Bryn Mawr) remain so today.

Hope this helps!
