The book that grabbed my attention was "Up and Down", by Terry Fallis. This book intrigued me the moment I saw the cover. I know they say don't judge a book by its cover, but in this case I did. Not only did the cover intrigue me, but the title sort of sounded like a ride "Up and Down". As I read the synopsis I could tell this is a humorous sci-fi novel. This story is about a former employee at parliament hill who is now working at a public relations agency in Toronto. On the first day on the job he got assigned to a major assignment: devise a campaign to revitalize North America's interest in the space program. As time progresses he comes up with a plan to hold a lottery where the winner will get to travel to the international space station. This story later goes on to discuss the Canadian and U.S relationship. This book really offers all I look for in a book such as comedy, sci-fi and politics. Can't wait to start reading.
