Please note: One name authors can not be disambiguated from other authors using the same single name. So if there are others authoring books using only "Michael" their books and yours are all going to show up on the same author profile. There isn't anything we can do about that - it's a limitation of the system.

What do you suggest? Can I edit my last name to be a period or something so the system can differentiate? Or perhaps my first name a period and last name is Michael? Which name does the system prefer in a search?

I'm not sure what to suggest. I'm not sure the period solution will work and you don't want to do anything that will mess up searching for your books by author name.

The digital age of databases has not been kind to single name authors. :)

I've looked up a few of the books written by other "Michael"s, and many of them don't seem to be single named authors.

We cannot use Amazon or other booksellers for book data.

I only ask to maintain individual authenticity between myself and these other authors, as I am sure they would want to be absolved of having been accused of writing my books, what do you recommend? Where might I find the correct data from? Request those authors to contact goodreads themselves?

I'm familiar with similar titles. We general have the primary author be the earth-human, but we do usually leave the channeled spirit (as per the book) as a secondary author. I see no reason not to do so in this case.

I realize we're trying to get books by author authors off the page, but it is likely to have limited success.
