Thanks for the question, Donna.

I had long been fascinated with the idea of a Muse, this unseen being that could choose to inspire us or the idea that a person in our lives could be our Muse and inspire our actions and creativity. It was such and interesting and unexplored idea that had never been done before. I also wanted to write a story where my supernatural creatures help (but still have the ability to hurt) people. So many Urban Fantasy series these days have are dark with not much light. I wanted to write one with more balance and this seemed like a good way to do it.

Donna | 2 comments Thanks, Susie. I'm glad you balanced the dark with light and hope. I knew the muses from mythology, so I very much enjoyed seeing them brought to life in modern times. The Muse-Guardian bond was so imaginative.
