Jenn (jenn_reed) | 18 comments I was looking through the Paragon Publishing list, and as I was rolling that rock up the hill, I noticed that this book shows up on the list of "Paragon" because the publisher is listed as a secondary author.

Should I removed the publisher as author? The other thing of note is that it has a different publisher.

Cait (tigercait) | 5005 comments Sometimes a publisher is listed because there's a general editorial staff who need to be credited, but usually if there's an author available the publisher can be removed from the author field.

The other thing of note is that it has a different publisher.

Or the same publisher under a different name. :) The number of names which publishers use baffle me!

Cait, sometimes it's historical -- publishers gobble each other up on a regular basis. Other times a publisher will have different editions that handle different genres (romance v. sf&f v. non-fiction, etc.)
