Moira Russell (the_red_shoes) | 43 comments I MIGHT qualify for her....except I don't really like most of her poetry. Whoops. -- Are we going to be listing how many books of whatever author we've read for bragging rights or just discussing them or what?

Ian "Marvin" Graye Yes.

Nate D (rockhyrax) | 120 comments Since you can set your own criteria, as thread starter, why not just claim this thread as for novels and essays completism or some such?

mark monday (happy-end-of-the-world) | 44 comments one of my favorites. The Earthsea Trilogy, of course. and Left Hand of Darkness. most recently The Dispossesed. still have to read Always Coming Home, which has been on the shelf for decades. i still have the cassette tape of musical accompaniment that the book came with. which is ironic because i no longer have a tapedeck.

Rise I've just read The Earthsea Cycle. Or I thought I did. Now I see there's Earthsea Revisioned, a 26-page lecture which I haven't come across!

message 8: by Dharmakirti (new)

Dharmakirti | 27 comments Wow...I didn't realize how prolific Ursula Le Guin is.

As a big fan of genre fiction, I must say I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I've never read any of her work.

Nate D (rockhyrax) | 120 comments Alright, I was just so entirely into The Lathe of Heaven that I'm now ready to get on board with this. Which next? I read a couple Earthseas ages ago (must be 20 years at least now) when I surely wasn't ready to go much deeper than surface (will revisit sometime), but aside from that I've never read anything else.

The Dispossessed

Although, if you want to know why everyone raves about her, you need to read her short stories.

I am not a completist - can NOT finish Lavinia. *hangs head in shame*

Nate D (rockhyrax) | 120 comments I finally read The Dispossessed! Finished today. In between, I read all of the other Hainish novels written pre-1980 except City of Illusion (and that soon!)

And now I'm going to Traveler's vast and somewhat confusing list above to collate a chronological list of all of her book-length works divided into FICTION, NONFICTION, and POETRY, because that is what would be most useful to me:
