Tori Would this book make a good introduction to philosophy in high schools? The idea of using philosophies in conjunction with everyday activities in the "real world" could provoke some good class discussions and essays. And maybe even a genuine interest in Philosophy would ensue?

I'd like to add that I haven't finished the book, am about 3/4. I like the fact that I can read a chapter as a stand-alone.

Jimmy I taught a high school philosophy class, and I would not recommend this book. Better for high school might be Sophie's World or The Story of Philosophy by Will Durant or Basic Teachings of the Great Philosophers by Frost.
