Which are your favourite? :)

message 2: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Louise Smith (sarahlouisesmith) My number one has to be the 1995 BBC version of Pride & Prejudice. It's long enough to include most of the story and Colin Firth is amazing as Darcy :)

Anna (SylviaGrant) | 139 comments Number one: Northanger Abbey 2007. J.J. Fields is amazing as Mr. Tilney!! He doesn't have to say much to tell you what he's thinking. He just smiles his way through the movie and into my heart.

Irene | 271 comments I really love 1996 Emma with Kate Backinsale and Mark Strong. They're perfect to play Emma and Mr Knightley and the adaptation is really faithful to the novel's atmosphere.
I also like Emma with Gwyneth Paltrow. Jeremy Northam is a really good Mr Knightley too!

Love the 1995 P&P! Ehle and Firth are AMAZING! And so faithful!

That is a wonderful film! Love Tilney and yes, his facial expressions are everything!!

I wasn't so keen on the Kate one, I thought Knightley was too serious. But I do love the Paltrow one!! LOVE Knightley in that one!

What about S&S?

Ok. I watched Mansfield Park on YouTube and I really really liked it! Apart from the odd plot changes (which is natural with a film of such a long book) and the way Fanny was portrayed it was good!! Johnny Lee Miller is now my Bertram! I thought all the acting was great and it is now my favourite MP!

Sarah Louise Smith (sarahlouisesmith) Ooh I'm going to have to check this out on YouTube....

Yeah. I was pleasantly surprised. (apart from two scenes) the acting was great and it actually worked I felt. My favourite MP now.

Anne (cinderella16) | 115 comments I haven't seen that one. I'll have to find it. I really liked Jonny Lee Miller as Mr. Knightley so he may make a good Bertram too! Have to see!
