Ok. Enough with the Fifty Shades knockoffs! A large portion of the contemporary romance novels that I can find have all been carbon copies of 50. Bdsm is only fun for so long until the rope burn kicks in and you just wanna be untied already! To be fair I have tried some of the knockoffs, but just like when you make a copy of an original, it gets progressively worse each time. Let's be honest. It's PORN wrapped around a mediocre plot. We all love porn, I know I do. So it's not a BAD thing to call it porn. So let's call a spade a spade and stop fronting for the cameras....
I digress.
I would love to find a nice hot contempo-romance without any Christain Grey remnants. Can somebody help? Please, I've been more desperate than a woman on eharmony w/ her biological clock ticking.

One other reviewer of the Fifty Shades trilogy suggested the following authors: Linda Howard, Shannon McKenna and Cherry Adair. I've read Linda Howard and I've enjoyed her books... she's funny and her characters aren't insipid little things who let angst tie them in knots. Hope this helps.

I admit. These books are poorly written. They are just porn for general patronage. These are Fifty Shades of BS with Crap!

But this is just my opinion.
