Jace didn't want to wait, "But doctor! I work here every weekday, that should at LEAST allow me to get into my little brother's hospital room!"It was actually a good defense, the question was whether or not it would work.

She thanked he doctor and slid in, "Jon-Jon?" Jace asked shakily.

"I would help if I could, but I specialize in surgery. Particularly brain surgery. Is that of any use here?" Jace was falling into professional mode.

Z ran into the hospital and told the lady at the front desk who she was and who her brother was. She was escorted to Johnny's hospital room. She smiled and thanked the nurse and the doctor who left the room. She turned to her brothers. Despite having the same heigh problems as Johnny, the whole family knew she was a force to be reckoned with. "Which one of you two IDIOTS did this to my baby brother?!" she demanded of them. She was so sick of this, "It was you wasn't it Troy!?!?" she demanded something out of her purse, "You know what this is? No, no you don't. Only the few people in the world who can kill someone and leave no trace that ever existed do. So if I were you, I'd watch what you do to my little brother!!" she said. She sat on the edge of Johnny's hospital bed and glared at her brothers daring them to argue with her.
Zaylia's gaze fixed on Leo, "And you! I don't care if you are only ten years old! You hurt my little brother again, you gonna pay!" she threatened. She was doing this on purpose. Acting like they weren't her family.

Jace looked at them as if they were all scum, except for Johnny. "All of you. Damn idiots."

Johnny slowly opened his eyes.
Jace pushed herself away from Troy, for the first time in her life. "NO, Troy, you aren't!" Her eyes were burning.

Jace went over to him, "Yeah Jon-Jon?"

She took his hand and held it gently, careful not to squeeze, "I know buddy, I know, I'm sorry I couldn't help you."

Jace sat on the floor crisscross and put her head in her arms. "I'm going to do something about them. Z too. I don't like her attitude."
Lizzy looked up at Jace. "Is he going to get better?"

"Yeah, sweetheart, he is. Z might not though, if she keeps acting like we aren't all family."Family had always been the most important thing to Jace.
Lizzy nodded slowly, tears coming to her eyes. She wanted Cinnamon to comfort her...

Jace glared daggers at Troy, but didn't move from her spot on the floor.

Mumbling something, Jace stood and walked towards the door.

Troy laughed and took the fox away. He opened up the belly and pulled out three ice-packs.
Jace froze and spun around. Her eyes were so bright, they were almost on fire. "Troy," she growled.

She calmed down a bit and went over to Johnny, "Are you alright?"
Hugging him, Jace called out for the nurse.
Jace sighed, as no nurse was coming. Luckily she knew where everything was, and pulled an extra blanket from the closet.
