This is how we think Haymitch's Hunger Games was.

I start in the reaping:

My name is called. Haymitch Abernathy.

I am a boy. Fifteen. Live in District 12.

My best friends name is Maysilee. She was reaped for The Hunger Games.

[Weiting]

And I was too.
Hearing my name and hers made my hands freeze, my mind went blank. And I hesitated, I would never want to kill a friend.

I try to keep my face calm as I solidly walk to the stage. Effie smiles maniacally, her wig listing severely to the right. I meet Maysilee's eyes as we shake hands. They shine in fear. I can only hope I seem bored on TV.

I tense up as I shake the hand with the extra two opponents. Of course I get reaped at a quarter quell.
