I am wondering what your opinion about Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. It is one of the few classic African fiction novels that are recommended in almost every intro to English university class. I did not think much of it. Does anyone think the same in that it is over rated?

Segu to me is much more engaging.

Jerry (yjerry) Is a great book even though the protagonist died at the end of maintaining his belief and culture.

Jerry (yjerry) In West Africa, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe has been one of the greatest book ever in secondary schools,Colleges and Universities.
