I liked Fallen but it was back in my Twilight Days. I haven't revisited it since, but I think some things would frustrate me these days. It cops a lot of flack for being Twilight with Angels lol. I still have the 3rd one to read on my shelf though.

I really expected to like this book, but I am sad to say, I was disappointed. I did not find Elie to be a kick ass heroine. I found her kind of boring.
One min she can't remember anything, then she's swinging a sword. Then she goes shopping for a new dress. I don't find these kind of books work well when you have parents that are around and aware. I liked Wil but he was much more kick ass.

i had shelf ,rating and date , and poof all gone :0

Examples above the comment box in the (some html is ok) link. You can even cut and paste those if you like :)
Have a play with it :DD

Great first try with your review, could you also put your book as a cover or link at the start?

Review: I read this for a buddy read, and absolutely love zombies. I was a bit wary about it at the start because of all the info dumping and it didn't really seem to be going anywhere, but when I passed the halfway mark it turned AMAZING!
Love the combination between politics, blogging, and zombies here. It's just so much more than your standard run of the mill zombie novel.

Finished My Free Space book:
Free Space Book:Ashes ~ Ilsa J. Bick

Date Read:September 22, 2012
Rating:♥♥♥♥
Review:First off I will state out right that this book had some very graphic content that made me the most unsqueamish of people cringe, but after putting the gore aside this was a fantastic read.
Ashes is a story about survival in the most extreme of situations, it is also a story about adversity and the lenghts you will go to save a surrogate family you have created in a harsh and ever changing world. This is the story of Alex, a dying young woman with the wish to die in peace but finds herself in a life and death struggle to survive with a kid she befriends and a young man that saves them both.
The internal struggles that go on within the three main characters gives wonderful depth to the story and creates a wealth of imagery that is wholey believable and injects you into the story as if you are really there with them. All in all Ashes was are excellent read and I'm looking forward to the next book in the Trilogy

Review:
I had high expectations for this book, and it met all of them. It was a fast easy read, with plenty of action, suspense, and sparse but meaningful foreshadowing. I loved the dystopian setting and didn't find it like Hunger Games as I have heard to many people compare it to.
The book isn't broken down into parts, but basically has three, the intro into Tris (Beatrice) and who she is where she comes from and the intro of the four main fractions (divided by personal character) where everyone in her world lives according to which fraction they "fit into". I spent the first 10% of this book re-looking up each fraction and what they mean, I'm not sure why it took me so long to grasp each one, but I finally caught on. Tris is a "divergent" meaning she could fit into more then one faction and seems to have some special abilities that someone who isn't Divergent wont posses. The second and longest "part" of this book follows Tris during her initiation and training into the fraction "Dauntless" one in which she wasn't born into....Super suspenseful and I was never sure what was going to happen next, Plus this is where we see the "love story" part of this book emerge. The third "part" of this book brings to a light what most of the slight foreshadowing throughout this book was about and was by far very action packed and felt like everything happened at once, but not too fast to grasp.
There are many unanswered questions which I do not feel frustrated by, because I assume that's what the rest of the series is for! I really enjoyed the fact that it took Tris a long time to become a "Kick Ass Heroine", she didn't just start kicking butts and taking names, it took her a lot of intense mental and psychical training and figuring out who she is, to get to where she was in the end of the book. I am already so engrossed in this story as a whole, I couldn't put Divergent down until I finished it and can guarantee I will continue with this series.

Shelf for Sept 23:Favorite Author
Book Chosen:Wrath ~ Laurann Dohner
Date Read:September 23, 2012
Rating:♥♥♥♥♥
Review:Once again Laurann Dohner has managed to pull me into her world of the New Species to produce her best story yet. Wrath is an emotionally and physically abused Alpha male who pulls at your heart strings when you here the about the kind of pain and torture he had to go through as the hands of cruel scientists who though of him as nothing more then an animal.
I am so in love with this series and the New Species that I find once I pick up one of these books I have no choice but to read the whole thing in one sitting because I can't tear myself away long enough to do anything else.
I will most definately be continuing on with this series for how ever long Ms. Dohner will continue to write it I never tire of reading about these fantastic Alpha males, another excellent edition to the series

***WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD***
It's a true testament to the writing talent of Lauren Willig that I even finished this book. I am a HUGE anti-cheating reader. And what happened in this book? Freddy cheated on Penelope and Penelope cheated on Freddy with Alex, who she fell in love with. Normally, when I got to the scene where Penelope walked in on Freddy and his bibi as he called her (and Penelope pointed out that it didn't matter what language he used, it was still his mistress), I wanted to put the book down. Had it been any other book, by any other author, I would have put it down and not looked back. But Lauren Willig hasn't let me down before, and she didn't let me down this time. Yes, later on Penelope ends up with Alex while she's still married to Freddy, but it was easier to forgive her because Freddy had already been unfaithful and Pen was in love with Alex.
The mystery in this one centered around The Marigold, who we met last book. It kept me guessing all the way until the big reveal. By the time we find out who The Marigold is, I had suspected 5 different characters....none of them were the one!
I hope we get to see more of Alex and Penelope in future books. She's so far from perfect and he's more innocent than she is, but they work together.
Oh! About Collin and Eloise...I like where their relationship is going. It's slow, but it's good. I still think (view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Jeann I'm not sure if you missed it or not but I finished my free space book the post is #126 :)

Gotcha Kat, thanks for pointing that out. Updated everything up to here :)

Good Job!! :D

Jessica, Phury's book was the hardest to read for me too. In fact, at one point, I put it down and came back to it several months later.
you know susan now that I think about what you and Amy have been talking about, I must say that I think that could be why I have let the Brotherhood slide, I just couldn't get into Phury's book at all I tried reading it a couple times with no luck and I really loved the series up to that point maybe I'll have to give the series another try :)
