For anyone interested, they posted next year's Caudill nominees. These books are selected by a group of librarians in Illinois and twenty are selected for kids to read and vote on the next year for their favorite. You can read more about the program on the website. It's one of the coolest things about Illinois.
They're all mostly geared towards 4th - 8th grade, but some of them I recognize. One I read - Dragon Slippers - which is a fun fantasy that involves dragons.
