Karen I love this book, it's a must read in this household every Christmas. Sedaris' stint as a Macy's elf is still my favorite.

Shannon If you enjoy this one by Sedaris you should consider checking out "Fraud" by David Rakoff -- he has an excellent story about being in one of Bloomingdale's windows in the city for their Christmas display as Sigmund Freud. He's also been on NPR/This American Life reading his essays like Sedaris (and even appeared in the off-Broadway Production of the Book of Liz).

Annette Reynolds Love David Sedaris's take on life; I read this one on a holiday plane trip and other passengers kept turning around to see what the heck I was laughing at. Definitely a Christmas tradition around here now!

Lisa Westerfield One of the best books ever! I still laugh aloud about an adult reviewing a children's Christmas pageant.
