Misty (almaroc) | 2 comments You may want to add some structure to reading books for the AE book club, e.g. setting up a weekly chapter schedule and discussion. My favorite Goodreads book club may be a great place for inspiration on this part. See:

They set up a syllabus and discussion for each book (e.g. and have discussion threads on secondary topics, such as a glossary for the book, etc.

Jill Guccini This is an excellent idea, especially as someone else on the site commented that they wanted to get started on the discussion right away. As I know many of you have already read the book, this is a great idea--no, this is a great idea just in general! Structure can be a very good thing.

My thought is that we have around three weeks until I post the final discussion post on AfterEllen. There are 19 chapters in the book, which would equal out to roughly six chapters per week. Accordingly, I'll post thread discussion topics for each six chapter block each week (with a seven chapter block at the end.)

This does not mean you have to feel guilty if you're not reading on this exact schedule! But for people who are eager to start talking, this will be a good place to start.

I myself have just procured the book and am about to start it, so I don't have any specific discussion topics yet in mind--but I will open a thread for the first six chapters so that throughout this week a discussion can get started. Make sense? Sound like a decent plan?
