Girls Who Read Graphic Novels group

Last year I started a group, Girls Who Read Graphic Novels http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/4..., for those of us who like to read graphic novels, comics, and manga. We like anime and big-screen adaptations, too! Check us out.

The idea for a group was born from a conversation I had with a co-worker about how her parents would think it was weird if they saw her reading comic books, especially ones that might be called "guy comics" because of the more dramatic or action-oriented stories. I started to wonder why it would be weird for a lady to read comics, and if other ladies felt the same way.

The group was born out of the desire to give us ladies a place where we could talk about and recommend comics and manga to other ladies who appreciate how we feel. The group is small, right now, but we'd love to have you join.

the first comic books i love and still love is ElfQuest. if u haven't picked them up omg there the best and worth a good read.. :D
