Ok they continued to fly towards ember city.
Meanwhile the dark queen sent drivel to find the fairies. The bond between rani and the dark queen is growing... Rani often mumbles in her trance. you could have your character notice her mumblings.

A bunch of fairies were in a clearing of frozen flowers. A fairy named Rani touched one and fell into a trance. Her friends and fellow magical creatures are taking her to the Ember City to get help. We are looking for a healer. The Dark Queen put the spell on the flowers with the help of her servant Drivel. The minds of Rani and the Dark Quenn are somewhat linked but no one knows that.
