Currently watching Fairy Tail (waiting for the Dub!!!!), D. Gray-Man (why wasn't 2nd season dubbed?! It's awesome!) and Blue Exorcist (better than I thought). Highly Recommended:
Soul Eater (one word: Stein)
Cowboy Bebop (Firefly/Star Wars of anime)
Trigun (awesome space western anime)
Fairy Tail (fun and a great time to watch)
D. Grey-Man (awesome story line)
Fullmetal Alchemist (both are ultimate!)
Inuyasha (feudal japan with demons and romance)
Attack on Titan (only if you can handle extremely heavy Life/Death situations and a lot of blood)
Everyone has different tastes and likes. Some might like adventure/comedies with great characters (Fairy Tail/D. Grey-Man), compelling characters with a gripping story (Fullmetal), are big fans of the classics (Cowboy Bebop/Trigun) or they watch shows knowing it will be a roller coaster (Attack on Titan). Watch what you want and make your own conclusions.
Okay so I have been into anime for about a year or two now and I have basically watched most of the really popular ones (I have some down time at my job with a laptop and wifi hehehe) and I have started to branch out and I am looking for suggestions. I prefer them to be in english but I don't mind reading subtitles. My favorites, in no particular, include FMA, Ouran Host Club, Hetalia (I am super excited to see Beautiful World), Soul Eater, Princess Jellyfish, and Black Butler. Currently I am watching Cowboy Bebop, Tsubasa and Sgt. Frog (waiting for discs is annoying). What do you suggest?
I have seen Attack on Titan and though I enjoyed it very much I don't quite understand it's current hype. And thanks I will look up Eden of the East
Just started Attack on Titan, re-watching Hellsing Ultimate & Ghost in the Shell 2nd GIG SAC. Blood Lad, Gurren Laggan(sp), recently finished xxxHolic.

It's about a boy named Natsume who can see and interact with yokai (supernatural creatures and ghosts of Japanese folklore). He has a rough childhood because he lost both of his parents when he was young and he just moves around from one family to the next. Since Natsume is the only person growing up who could interact with the Yokai, people think he is a liar and a weird child. Now in high school Natsume inherits his grandmother's "book of friends". The "book of friends" is a list of yokai's names that give him the power to control the named yokai. It is the only connection he has to her and he comes to find out that she could see yokai as well. As he grows up he develops relationships with humans (both who can and cannot see Yyokai) and with the yokai as well.
The artwork is wonderful, the storyline is decent, and it is believable. You can relate to Natsume on several different levels and you just want him to succeed. Now I want to read the manga and see what happens next.
