Cheryl Corrinne, I loved this book when I was 10 or 12 and reread it (hesitantly) last year. I was amazed at how well it held up. I loved the whole premise of running away to the Museum, of bossing around the younger brother (can you tell I was the big sister??), and of course, of solving such a sophisticated, adult mystery.

Shefali tell me about it. it had the perfect combo of mystery and adventure. i absolutely loved the book

Brittany I would have liked this book better if I wasn't forced to read it for SFA(English) in fifth grade. It was still a really good book though!

Brigid ✩ i had to read this book in sixth grade, and didn't like it so much. it didn't seem realistic. I understand that security wasn't as good back then, but still... anyway, I might have liked it if I had been younger when I read it. And maybe my opinion of it got worse after we also had to watch the horrible movie and then had to see a MUSICAL of it (yes, a musical--it was ridiculous).

Tana Harrison I enjoyed rereading this last year. Great story. Love the adventure.

Jennifer Me me too! Read it as a kid - it captivated me! Read it last year - was thrilled with it again! I have always remembered the new deck of cards every Monday.

Heidi I never looked at a museum the same way again... I was in 5th or 6th grade when I read it, and I still remember some of the scenes... great book for middle school kids... might have to re-read it again!
