Yup, tomorrow, US time - so probably 7am our time, plus a potential 4 hours for Amazon delay times...

The Serpent in the Glass is free on Amazon today and tomorrow!

I can't grab it. I tried to buy it again a while ago. I downloaded it today but it didn't go to my kindle but if I try again it says I've already got it. Pants on fire. I'm doomed not to get the latest version of this!

Happy to announce that The Serpent in the Glass is, as of Christmas day, in the top 100 fantasy on Amazon Kindle, ranking at 1452 overall out of 1.6 million Kindle books!

In other news - I'm going through Pied and Prodigious to update it to version 1.1 with a view to also creating a paperback edition (there have been requests). I think it'd also make a nice Mother's Day/Mothering Sunday gift...

Well I just loved it as it was. In fact, I loved the longer version of Serpent too. Some people are such lightweights!

Did you read the 3rd edition of Serpent? I think the initial pace works better, and the changes (such as the arena replacing the second tower).

I'm not reducing Pied and Prodigious. In fact, it may end up slightly longer.

Just a little update on what's going on in my writing life at present...

Currently I'm working on getting Pied and Prodigious into paperback format. I've finished the formatting and am awaiting the print-ready PDF sample from the PoD publisher. I have to work on creating the cover as well.

I'm also working with some other authors on promotion of The Serpent in the Glass - preparing for March. Possibly including some GR giveaway or ads.

I'm revising and working the next instalment of Dreamwalkers, which I hope to release in March.

I'm also toying around with the idea of a short children's book - a chapter book, but maybe with some sketches. Does anyone know an inexpensive sketcher?

I've also set a goal to get Dreamwalkers (Part Three) out by June 1st!

I'm also helping Rosen out with the Indie mag where I can.

That's me for the first half of 2013!

Doing quite a bit of promotion this month - I have a free promo running of the Kindle version of The Serpent in the Glass between 22-24th March, I also have a GR giveaway of the paperback version running this month, and also another paperback giveaway in collaboration with Jennifer Alvarez and Molly Snow.

Also need to complete another interview!

I need to finish up my Dreamwalkers (Part Two) pretty sharpish as well!

I'm still waiting for mu proof copy of Pied & Prodigious from feedaread.com. They do take their sweet time in sending them...obviously I've missed Mothering Sunday, so I'll be pushing it for Mothers' Day (US) in May.

Maybe I should angle it toward mothers who are trying to marry off their daughters, or, failing that, those who have large hat collections...

The Serpent in the Glass is free today, Saturday and Sunday.

I'm trying to do a big push with it this time, firstly to get more readers, and, secondly, to see how effective KDP Select promos still are.

The first 24 hours has gone well. The Serpent in the Glass hit the top #100 last night and got to #30 before I went to bed. This morning it is now at #10 in the Kindle store for free ebooks.

Now will it go any higher? It'll be tough! But you can help! ;)

Yesterday I blitzed twitter and facebook.

Today I need to contact twitter accounts that like freebies, and hit all the forums!

I also need to promote another book of mine that's currently free: Jack MacFadden and the Faerie Realm...
