I think of mine as a boy too, my iPod is she, my blackberry he. I'd never thought about it.

Mine is named "TARDIS": it's bigger on the inside than the outside and helps me travel through time and space haha.
Right now mine is just Annie's Kindle. I've never even considered naming it something more original, hahah.I'll have to think of a new one... :)
Mine is now named Magnus Bane, after my favourite character in The Mortal Instruments. I'm going to rename it after every book I read, after my favourite character in it!
At the end I changed the name of my kindle as "Mi libro" because I like the idea of other person. Now I can said "has visto mi libro? "
My wife always said "Que libro?"
And I reply "Bueno, el kindle, lo has visto?"
I just read a tip somewhere that said it is a good idea to name your kindle something other than "Karen's Kindle" Wow I love the idea of calling it the Tardis. I wish I had thought of that. Would you mind if I called mine Karen's Tardis" *LOL*I am thinking also of a long name like "Kindle the Magnificent, the wonderful wizard of books" I know I won't use it but I do like it.
I just received my new kindle (thank god for the warranty and fantastic customer service) today. I named it Marvin the Paranoid Non-Android.Because maybe it'll be so paranoid and cautious that this one won't break.
Susan wrote: "I called mine Murtagh. Just liked the name and love the Outlander Series its from."Love it! :)

It was in a book I downloaded I think for 99 cents and it had to do with identifying your Kindle in case you lose it. Yeah, like someone will want to return it to you. *LOL* I will go look for the title.
Kindle Tips, Tricks and Shortcuts, by Michael Gallagher. Supposedly it was updated in June but he says in part of it that he is talking about the 1,2, and DX. But it's still helpful. 99 cents
Mine is called Lucy! The first book on the Kindle that I read was Villette by Charlotte Bronte and the main characters name is Lucy Snowe. I love the character and thought that it suited my Kindle and me perfectly!
I like that, La Liseuse! It's clever! And the group of kittens meaning is the definition missing from the "kindle definitions" screensaver, isn't it?
I still haven't worked out a name. All of your clever ideas have inspired me and gotten me thinking and I'll just know the right one when it comes to mind.
No creative name for my Kindle. But on a side note My ITouch is named 'The Titanic' so this way when I plug it into my computer it says - Now syncing The Titanic.
Susan wrote: "I called mine Murtagh. Just liked the name and love the Outlander Series its from."Great character. Always loyal and dependable.
I may rename mine .... but I want something that is a three-word name. So for now it's MY LIBRARY OF WONDER
I am sure my geek will be showing, but I wanted a snooty name for mine since it is a booksnob since it is a collection of books. I ended up going with Wheatley, which if you know what that is from, what's up. Let's be friends.
Sonya wrote: "My kindle is password protected and I've ordered a pink lightening skin for it!"How can you get a password for your kindle?
I call mine "MY" Kindle and sometimes the "Amazing Kindle" because Amazing and Amazon are so close. I love love love my Kindle. I carry it in my purse. Never know when you might have time to read a bit or play "Every Word".

LOL! This is hilarious!
I name all of my electronics after Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid characters. My Kindle is named Axel from KH and even has a cutom skin of Axel on him. I love that my husband will humor me and know what I am asking for when I walk around asking if he has seen Axel or his charger.
If Carola doesn't mind I would still like to go with Karen's Tardis. The other name that keeps playing in my mind and I have absolutely no idea why is Watson. Maybe because I can get a lot of information from Watson to help me solve mysteries?

Mine is Tom's Toy. Not very original for an author, but it was a gift and if I have spare moments my nose is always 'figuratively' stuck in it.
I think I'm going to name it Sheepie. A majority of our electronics are farmyard related (for example, my printer is 'pig' to distinguish it from all the school printers I have on it).
