message 4551: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 28 comments A sick knee? Like a crappy knee? Yes, but if you meant that as in my knees are sneezing, no (how AWFUL would that be?!).

TPBM is exhausted.

message 4552: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) Yes! Sooooo tired.

TPBM is ready to read a new Kresley Cole novel.

message 4553: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never read any books by that author, so no.

TPBM has more books on their to-read list than they could possibly read in five years.

message 4554: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments If the number 87 means anything, then yes, I agree with that sentiment, Angie. Hell, I had to buy a new bookshelf because I know I'll have more. The shelf hasn't been built yet, though.

When it comes to writing fight scenes, TPBM has it down to a science.

message 4555: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not all too experienced on that front. But on the story I'm currently on, they will hopefully feature more frequently. When that time comes, I'll call up my friend who's a black belt in jiujitsu for some pointers.

TPBM has difficulty making realistic, multifaceted characters

message 4556: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I'd like to think I've improved in that department over the years. It's a skill that's being put to the test as I edit the hell out of a novel I wrote called Occupy Wrestling. Debra Winter, the main character's girlfriend, definitely won't be a Mary-Sue this time around.

TPBM considers themselves to be a rebel.

message 4557: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I've made plenty of them. I made resolutions to finish editing Occupy Wrestling, to finish writing Watch You Burn, and to read a butt-load of novels this year. So far, it's been all-systems-go.

TPBM has colorful lights in their room to create a cool ambiance.

message 4558: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I might be rereading one of my faves soon for the 5th time. The 10th will come eventually.

TPBM thinks the internet could no longer exist if ad block really worked.

message 4559: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I think it would still exist because there are many aspects that don't require money. Granted, it might not have as much variety and many things might not be as free, but it would exist.

TPBM must refrain from reading when things are busy, or nothing would get done.

message 4560: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, sadly, I have to or else my kids would starve, I'd get fired and my husband would leave me :D

TPBM could read three (or four) books within the day.

message 4561: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I used to be able to read that many books in a day but now, I'm lucky to finish one.

TPBM thinks Chuck Norris "facts" are hilarious.

message 4562: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments Did you know that ghosts sit around the campfire and tell Chuck Norris stories? Hehe!

TPBM is eagerly awaiting the release of the next Crossfade album whenever that may be.

message 4563: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I like much of Crossfade's music, but I'm not a big enough fan to be aware of when a new album is released.

TPBM believes the right herbal tea does wonders for your health.

message 4564: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I don't know about the health benefits, but the black iced tea I'm drinking is probably better for me than Diet Mountain Dew.

TPBM once rehearsed dialogue out loud with an unknown person eavesdropping in the background wondering what the hell is going on.

message 4565: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) The only people eavesdropping when I talk to myself are my cats. They know the deal. Hell, they help out. They do the shocked silent look pretty well.

TPBM really wants to purchase Adventure Time Season 4 on DVD.

message 4566: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I'm not into Adventure Time. Plus, I'm trying to sell my DVD player now that I have a Roku. To put it shortly, the answer is no.

TPBM can quote Pulp Fiction.

message 4567: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) "Don't be a..." *hands make square shape*

TPBM likes anime and manga art books.

message 4568: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments Anime art books were a huge influence on my drawing style back in the mid-2000's. After a while of fine-tuning said style over the course of a decade, I'm a much better artist because of it.

TPBM talks to him or herself and doesn’t think it’s weird.

fajangled [semi-hiatus] (fajangled) | 54 comments Talking to myself is awesome. lol.

TPBM still hasn't watched the trailer of the Fantastic Four, the newest one.

message 4570: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments Unfortunately, no, I haven't. I love a good superhero movie, so I'll make sure to do that.

TPBM was moved by the “Nothing is over!” speech at the end of the movie First Blood.

message 4571: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do talk to myself and I also think that that isn't weird. Or at least not too weird.

TPBM writes random thoughts in a journal, but randomly only.

message 4572: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I think Guy might have missed a few so I'll answer both his and Garrison.
YES! Love that speech just as much as the one at the end of Blade Runner.
No, I haven't kept a journal in years. I do random thoughts on Twitter.

TPBM wasn't even aware that Facebook was down earlier today.

message 4573: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments Oh, I was aware alright. I screamed and cussed at my computer until it was back up. Of course, this all happened yesterday, not today.

TPBM uses gentle music to help him or her sleep at night.

message 4574: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I used to, but not anymore. I listen to music most of my day at work and at home, though.

TPBM is puzzled at the adulation given to Stanley Kubrick and his movies.

message 4575: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) Eh, I liked a couple of his movies. They were good but nothing to write home about.

TPBM names her pets from movies but no one in real life gets the reference.

message 4576: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, as I am at this time petless. But I do take the play 'Waiting for Godot' with me to read while waiting in medical waiting rooms, which I find funny but no one else has commented on.

TPBM prefers the company of cats to dogs.

message 4577: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I like both equally but currently have cats because I haven't the time for dogs right now.

TPBM always eats with chopsticks at Chinese restaurants.

message 4578: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't have to be in a Chinese restaurant to use chopsticks. I'll even eat spaghetti with them. (This is where my friends would make jokes about how I'm Asian...)

TPBM uses chopsticks when they want to eat messy foods while reading, such as Cheetos.

message 4579: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I couldn't use chopsticks to save my life. Forks and spoons for me, please.

TPBM wants to try Taco Bell’s Mexican pizza.

message 4580: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not a huge fan of fast food, so no.

TPBM is always distraught to find out that a person has never heard of the Justice League.

message 4581: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I'd feel completely indifferent if someone didn't know about The Justice League. Some things just aren't common knowledge anymore.

TPBM cusses and screams at technology whenever it malfunctions.

message 4582: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No, I'm pretty used to technology failing upon occasion. My dad is also a systems engineer, so I know what kind of stress tech teams go through when a website goes down. Hence, I'm a little more patient if I can't log on somewhere.

TPBM believes intelligence is more than having a mass of factual knowledge.

message 4583: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments No.

TPBM loves to when they first get up in the day to make a pot of coffee!

message 4584: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments Maybe not first thing in the morning, but whenever the iced tea runs out, I usually make a pitcher of that. I love iced tea. :)

TPBM does his or her best thinking in a dark room only illuminated by colorful lights.

message 4585: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, though I try to be more others-centered. I don't know how successful I am at that.

TPBM loves it when the rain is more like a mist because they can get the feeling of rain without getting soaked.

message 4586: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Hmm, the way you put it that way I never thought of that. Sounds nice so yes!

TPBM loves the smell of the air after a good rain shower.

message 4587: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, it smells so fresh!

TPBM often reads late into the morning, despite regretting the exhaustion the next day every time.

message 4588: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I've done a lot of things late into the evening, reading being one of them. The other thing I did just last night was write two blog entries for Garrison's Library. The end result: waking up at 2:30 in the afternoon and still being exhausted. It was worth it. It always is.

TPBM thinks the new Pop Tarts commercials are darkly humorous.

message 4589: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments It sure is.

TPBM is boared

message 4590: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not particularly.

TPBM has seen the newsboy/girl deliver the morning paper by throwing it out the window of a moving car and finds it unexpectedly hilarious.

message 4591: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments It's even better when they knock something over like they do in the movie Beethoven. Hehe!

When watching Family Guy, TPBM enjoys the fight scenes between Peter Griffin and the guy in a chicken suit.

message 4592: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never watched Family Guy, but that sounds entertaining.

TPBM is currently trying to talk themselves into finally finishing a task they've procrastinated on.

message 4593: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I'm hoping to do that with a novel I'm writing called Watch You Burn. It's been 11 days since I've written the most recent chapter for it. That's unacceptable to me.

TPBM is running out of ideas for posts in this thread.

message 4594: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes I have.

TPBM is watching TV

message 4595: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I was a little while ago.

TPBM records every show they watch on TV so they don't feel pressured to schedule their life around the TV or have to sit through commercials.

message 4596: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) No way! Blue is one of my favorite colors!

TPBM doesn't watch regular TV or cable.

message 4597: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Netflix is certainly very convenient and I tend to watch it more than regular TV. But we do still have cable at my house.

TPBM is going to watch the Superbowl tomorrow.

message 4598: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments I don't care about football, so no, I won't be watching it. I might, on the other hand, watch the most recent episode of NXT on the WWE Network.

TPBM was traumatized as a child after watching the firefighter clown scene from Brave Little Toaster.

message 4599: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I love The Brave Little Toaster but I really don't remember any firefighter clowns. Sure you don't mean Dumbo?

TPBM is super excited to hear about a live-action Beauty and The Beast movie from Disney.

message 4600: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10186 comments OOC: Happy nightmares, Marie! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEdZh...

IC: And no, I'm not sure excited is the right word. Neutral is a little closer to the truth.

TPBM believes that no topic is off limits when it comes to comedy.
