message 3951: by Gary (new)

Gary | 222 comments No, I don't imagine I ever will be one either.

TPBM is hoping to see a Triple Crown in a couple weeks

message 3952: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments If that is something to do with either royalty or sport... no.

TPBM has a mental illness.

message 3953: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments For me, that mental illness is schizophrenia. I've had it since 2002 and it's been an ongoing battle ever since.

TPBM loves Bassett Hounds and wants to wiggle their jowls and flap their ears.

message 3954: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments I don't remember ever meeting a bassett hound

TPBM likes chilli.

message 3955: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments He does indeed! And chili peppers. And cold winter nights with fresh snow and bright stars.

TPBM loves baking chocolaty things.

message 3956: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The last time I did so was a batch of Duncan Hines brownies in high school. Don't worry, the brownies didn't have any special "magic ingredients" in them, they were just chocolaty. Hehe!

TPBM enjoys picking at their hangnails.

message 3957: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No. Mine always end up bleeding.

TPBM sometimes has book hangovers that last for days.

message 3958: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I have not had the pleasure of that, even when I would read two or three books in a day.

TPBM has read as many as three novels in a day.

message 3959: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If I had the mental strength to do that, I'd do it every damn day. With my luck, they'd probably be graphic novels.

TPBM reads faster once they get closer to the end of the book.

message 3960: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! Often, but not always. Some books, when the prose is beautiful, demand that in slow down and savour the language.

TPBM prefers the quality of the writing in a book more than the quality of the plot.

message 3961: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm 100% with you on that one, Guy.

TPBM doesn't have a bookshelf in their home, but a library instead.

message 3962: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, close to 1500 books.

Today, for some reason, TPBM prefered to bake than read.

message 3963: by [deleted user] (new)

Not, I went a party though.
TPMB has see the fault in our stars.

message 3964: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My brain was baking, but I'm not sure that's what you meant. Hehe!

TPBM wants a bumper sticker that says, “Readers never go to bed alone.”

message 3965: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments No, I'm not much of a cook.

TPBM is often extremely critical of their own writing.

message 3966: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments OOC: Triple-post. The next guy has three TPBM's to answer.

message 3967: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh..
Yes I saw the fault in our stars.
Yes I'm critical of my writing.
No that bumper sticker would require having a car..
T person below me is half asleep.

message 3968: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments woopse...mine was meant to be in response to Guy, but I must've been typing too slow.

message 3969: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments OOC: Don't worry, JT, it happens a lot. :)

message 3970: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments Maybe more than half.

TPBM works on a whole lot of stories at once and has trouble finishing any of them.

message 3971: by [deleted user] (new)

YES.
Tomb has to sleep or they'll be cranky for father's day.

message 3972: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. I'll probably be cranky either way. Not :-) Well, maybe not.

TPBM is having a harder time than I am deciding on the truth of trivial things.

message 3973: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I don't know if I'm having a harder time than you, but I do tend to puzzle over meaningless things a lot.

TPBM is kept up at night pondering the meaning of life.

message 3974: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments My pondering often seems to go round in circles and lose its thread. (I don't think that was the "its" that needs an')

TPBM has trouble remembering the rules of grammar.

message 3975: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I used to, but then I had an English teacher who was a real stickler about it. She spent two weeks going over grammar rules and gave us a big packet summarizing the rules, which I still have.

TPBM has trouble motivating him/herself to exercise regularly.

message 3976: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The most exercise I get is walking to the convenience store on a daily basis. But yes, I need to do more and it begins with getting that gym membership.

TPBM once described someone as being "deceptively smart".

message 3977: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm more fond of the expression "deceptively stupid".

When TPBM realizes that they've gotten a boring book, they try to force themselves to read it anyway.

message 3978: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If a book doesn't hold my attention within the first few pages, I'm done with it. An example of this would be "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". I stopped after the 20th page.

TPBM considers taking a hot shower an accomplishment.

message 3979: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No. I live in Phoenix, so cold showers feel much better.

TPBM often hits his or her head on things.

message 3980: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Sometimes when I'm backing up in my bed, I bang my head on the wall behind me. It got so bad that I had to move the posters that were there to the opposite wall.

TPBM remembers the 2003 Snickers commercial where Barky the Dog was being grumpy.

message 3981: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No. I was only 5 at the time, so I didn't care much about commercials.

TPBM really wishes for chocolate right now.

message 3982: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As long as it was sugar free chocolate with bacon bits inside, yes, that would make my day. :)

TPBM likes the male name Ronan.

message 3983: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments That sounds like an awesome name. Maybe I'll use it in a story sometime. But maybe I like the name because my new character crush's name is Rowan. ;P

TPBM knows the names of their neighbors.

message 3984: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Their names are Bill, Chris, Lester, and Lynn.

TPBM looks good in a fedora.

message 3985: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I look even better when it had a feather in it. ;)

TPBM has read The Lord of the Rings.

message 3986: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I haven't read the books, but I've seen the movies. The movies are much more enjoyable on an empty bladder, trust me.

TPBM hates it when a teacher openly admits to being a lenient grader.

message 3987: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I find it kind of insulting, like an implied, "None of your work is actually that good."

TPBM can't stick to one thing at a time, and instead rotates between multiple tasks as they get distracted.

message 3988: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've tried to manage my various tasks by dividing them into which day I'll do them. So far, it's working.

TPBM thinks Hunger Games characters have weird names.

message 3989: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not especially, considering that it's a dystopian book. Hunger Games names are easier than the Lord of the Rings.

TPBM is sick of the summer heat.

message 3990: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Considering summer is my favorite season, I'll have to disagree with that one. I have two different fans blowing in my room, so I've managed to stay cool this whole time.

TPBM actually knows the difference between a graphic novel and a comic book.

message 3991: by J. T. (new)

J. T. | 540 comments I think I get the general idea, but I have a vision impairment so I read either audio books or ebooks. The latter is possible because of the screen reading software on my computer.

TPBM is full of ideas for stories or poems, but is completely stumped if they have to write something that is non-fiction (such as a letter).

message 3992: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Non-fiction does take a little more effort because I don't have as much freedom to do whatever just feels right.

TPBM has many writing projects at the same time but rarely finishes one.

message 3993: by Christa VG (new)

Christa VG (christa-ronpaul2012) Doesn't everyone?

TPBM knows how to milk a cow?

message 3994: by Garrison (last edited Jun 26, 2014 10:22PM) (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've never milked a cow a day in my life.

TPBM once stopped reading a book because it was too dusty and made him or her sneeze a lot.

message 3995: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Not really but I have gotten sick with a coughing when a cereal I was eating seemed to be "dusty" with fragments.

TPBM has gotten to a scary/gory part in a book and it almost made them quit the book!

message 3996: by inactive account (new)

inactive account (inactiveaccoun) | 48 comments I do the exact opposite

TPBM Watches and likes Attack on Titan

message 3997: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If I can make it through the dental surgery and toenail ripping scenes of "A Million Little Pieces", I can make it through any gory book without quitting.

TPBM believes that nostalgia should be reserved for good memories only.

message 3998: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I think we derailed our momentum with a double post again. It happens. So the next person to continue the game will have to respond to Goten's post and mine as well.

message 3999: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never heard of Attack on Titan.

I think that what wee consider "good" memories is completely arbitrary and something we remember bitterly now might be sweet in the future, or vice versa. Long story short, all of our memories contribute to who we become and I think that in the end, everything becomes a good memory once we're mature enough to see it in perspective.

TPBM sometimes wishes they could reach into the book they're reading and slap some sense into the characters.

message 4000: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments There are some villains I wish I could do that to. Then again, villains aren't supposed to be likeable in the first place. If they are, that's great, but if they're not, it's all in a day's work.

TPBM can tell which decade a movie or TV show came from by the quality of the picture.
