message 3901: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Story of my life.

TPBM has been given an award before only to find out that it was meant for someone else and that they had to return it.

message 3902: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Fortunately, that hasn't happened to me...yet. Although, I'll start wising up to their tickery if they give me a Pulitzer.

TPBM would shop at a place called The Geek Store if it existed.

message 3903: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Absolutely!

TPBM finds the calculus parody of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" funny.

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Never seen it.

TPMB is writing using Magnetic Poetry.

message 3905: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not tonight, Kit-Kat. Maybe I'll do it another time.

TPBM constantly has dreams about going to school naked.

message 3906: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't recall ever having that specific dream.

TPBM hates it when they finally remember to do something after they finish what they thought was the last thing in the to-do list.

message 3907: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It's discouraging, that's for sure.

TPBM thinks it’s cool when the name Simon is spelled P-S-Y-M-O-N.

message 3908: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments That would actually be really cool.

TPBM has actually met someone with the first name Wolfgang.

message 3909: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Can't say that I have, but I'd like to someday. I might have to fly all the way over to Europe for that to happen, though.

TPBM has at least one character in their short story archives named Antonio (even if that character isn’t Portuguese or Spanish).

message 3910: by [deleted user] (new)

No, but I am not sure I understand.

TPBM has heard of Indira Gandhi.

CMN

message 3911: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments (No need to go that far Garrison. There's a Wolfgang who's worked at this Olive Garden in Tucson for the past three years. It's much closer than Europe)

No. There was an Antonio at my elementary and he was terrible. So I haven't used that name yet. If I ever do, he'll most likely be the antagonist.

TPBM hates it when textbooks start referring to a picture/diagram in a different page, forcing them to flip between pages.

message 3912: by [deleted user] (new)

No, I like finding pages. I like to memorize page numbers, too, so I can find the pages later. So I guess, I do harbor a resentment - having to flip through the index.

TPBM likes neologisms.

message 3913: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do. I take my joy in them from Shakespeare.

TPBM loves how language sounds almost as much as how it scans.

message 3914: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not quite sure what that even means.

TPBM stutters when talking in front of large audiences.

message 3915: by Daniel J. (new)

Daniel J. Nickolas (danieljnickolas) | 139 comments Ironically, being the focus of a large audience is much easier for me than a one on one with a stranger. I often stutter when meeting someone for the first time.

TPBM thinks malapropisms are hilarious.

message 3916: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm scratching my head as I attempt to remember what those are. So far, no dice.

TPBM thinks covers of songs can be better than the original.

message 3917: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I feel like that happens quite frequently.

TPBM hates having to dress up fancy.

message 3918: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Since dressing fancy often means dressing uncomfortably, I'd say so. T-shirt and sweatpants for me.

TPBM knows that Fruit Loops don’t actually taste like fruit.

message 3919: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not only do they not taste like fruit, the colors don't even taste different from each other.

TPBM can do the splits.

message 3920: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If I ever did, that would be the end of my ability to reproduce.

TPBM doesn’t feel any excitement from gambling at a casino.

message 3921: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Well, I'm not old enough to do that anyway. But I still don't see the point.

TPBM voluntarily does not drink alcohol.

message 3922: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If it's not fruit-flavored beer, chances are good it tastes like horse piss. Not that I've ever had horse piss, don't get me wrong. Hehe!

TPBM has CD’s in their music collection they still haven’t listened to all the way through.

message 3923: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I haven't listened to half the music at my house because most of it are my parents'.

TPBM keeps a journal.

message 3924: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I have a Lego-themed journal sitting right next to me, where I come up with lists of short story ideas, novel ideas, songs I want to download, and anything else that might be creative fuel. I've had it since Christmas 2012. It's a good way to open up the creative floodgates. :)

TPBM wonders what the hell CBS was thinking when they had a sweepstakes contest for a free colonoscopy. Seriously, I’ve never seen people so excited to have a camera shoved up their asses.

message 3925: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. Perfectly describes the state of network television.

TPBM has become unable, physically, to sit and watch regular TV, even what were at one time favourite shows.

message 3926: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I still watch WWE programs and the two NCIS shows, so I haven't reached that state yet. Though I will admit that I'm no longer a fan of the Thundercats due to the fact that I can't stand the dialogue.

TPBM doesn’t add books to their Good Reads “to-read” list until the book is actually in their possession.

message 3927: by Gary (new)

Gary | 222 comments Nope, if I see something compelling I'll add it and buy/check out later.

TPBM, is a fan of Charles Bukowski

message 3928: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Never heard of him.

TPBM has a friend of the opposite gender that everyone keeps thinking they're dating.

message 3929: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have many friends of the opposite gender, and only my thinks I am dating them. ;-)

TPBM is writing a story or novella about being just friends with someone of the opposite gender.

message 3930: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, being friends, then to being lovers :D

TPBM needs a long vacation.

message 3931: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Absolutely. But school is almost out so I'll be getting it hopefully :)

TPBM is often the last to hear the news in their circle of friends.

message 3932: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't have much of a social life, so I don't have to worry about that.

TPBM wonders why in the hell anybody would legally change their name to Warrior.

message 3933: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I may have once, but in the gamut of odd names, 'Warrior' hasn't much pith. I've always thought 'Tiger' very odd.

TPBM is fighting to stay awake while reading a boring book for English.

message 3934: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm not in school anymore, so I don't have to worry about English class. That's twice now that I've mentioned not worrying about something. Ah, the power of positive thinking! :)

TPBM believes there should be a civil rights movement for introverts.

message 3935: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not at all. I have fully accepted and embraced the bully nature of our society, and since introverts by definition will not speak up for their rights they clearly don't deserve them.

TPBM has been ignoring their calling to become an advocate on behalf of introverts.

message 3936: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I wouldn't necessarily call it ignoring. I've been pretty vocal about the fair treatment of introverts, I just haven't found a way to channel it into something productive. Susan Cain, on the other hand, has done that to perfection.

TPBM believes lava lamps can be therapeutic.

message 3937: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sigh. I do. But I read this as 'lave' lamps and so associated the light with getting clean: clear understanding and skin!

TPBM has been to busy with narcissistic self analysis to have heard of Garrison's and his effort at introvert emancipation.

message 3938: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Too*

message 3939: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Actually, I've been pretty busy eating potatoes and pouring beer on my Lucky Charms.

TPBM looks cute in Mickey Mouse ears.

message 3940: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Doubt it. But my last name has the same number of letters as 'Mickey Mouse' and the cadence of its being sung helps others remember how to spell my name.

TPBM has managed to not buy a single item of Mickey Mouse detritus.

message 3941: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I wouldn't mind having a set of mouse ears, but no, I don't have them in my possession...yet.

TPBM wonders how playing golf constantly is supposed to help somebody overcome alcoholism.

message 3942: by Jack (new)

Jack Daniels | 32 comments yep. shudders. good thing too. mickey mouse is freaky.

tpbm... loves stuffed horses but hates stuffed teddy bears.

message 3943: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Teddy bears are alright. My sister has one that's 4'10" tall. It's only two inches shorter than her. Personally, I like dinosaurs.

When someone complains about a mutual friend who is not present, TPBM can't help but wonder what is said about them.

message 3944: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Usually, I'll listen and tell the friend what's said later.

TPBM is the solitary geek/nerd of their family.

message 3945: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No. I'm glad to say that 90% of my family is extremely nerdy, myself included.

TPBM has too much going on right now.

message 3946: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. But that is normal these days.
