TPBM has plans to go somewhere snowy this Christmas

message 7002: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. I live in Canada, in a cosy corner where snow generally falls on the nearby mountains but leaves the urban areas untouched.

TPBM likes the album Carrie & Lowell by Sufjan Stevens.

message 7003: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not really.

TPBM knows that adding the word “style” to another word means it’s not the real thing (Texas-style barbecue means the restaurant isn’t actually located in Texas).

message 7004: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. Still hits my tongue very often.

TPBM has blown a cookie recipe and threw them away.

message 7008: by Angie (new)

TPBM is usually the first one awake in their household

message 7009: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I love sleeping in so much that I don't get up until mid-afternoon. Then again, it's hard to get out of bed when there's a cuddly kitty like Smokey snuggled up to me. ^_^

TPBM has seen pictures before of dogs and goats snuggling together.

message 7010: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.

TPBM has fun whenever he/she cooks.

message 7011: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not nearly as much fun as eating whatever I make. Hehe!

TPBM knows that wasps don’t have any function in nature other than to be jerks by stinging and biting people.

message 7012: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yup. If you wanna get fat just get a hive of wasps.

TPBM was sickly as a child.

message 7013: by Garrison (last edited Dec 26, 2015 08:54PM) (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not true at all. I was a skinny kid from childhood all the way to my senior year of high school. It wasn't until I started college that my schizophrenia medication made me gain a bunch of weight.

TPBM has no idea why the movie rating system has R and NC-17 coexisting together when they target the same age group.

message 7014: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I guess not, but I find rating systems to be misguided good intentions that likely cause more moral harm than deflect.

TPBM is only reading non-fiction these days.

message 7015: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not true. I'm currently reading three fiction books: "Sick Puppy" by Carl Hiaasen (environmental thriller), "Threads of a Web" by our own Marie Krepps (vampire sci-fi), and a manuscript from my friend Zero called "Rake" (serial killer horror).

TPBM knows that there’s an English species of cat that mimics rabbit behavior such as leap-running and having a ball tail.

message 7025: by Garrison (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Sort of. As a kid I've made "video games" of different genres made out of paper and once made an index card controller. My brother "played" it while I moved the pieces around!

Whoops, you beat me to it, Guy!

To answer yours, I am terrible at keeping maintenance with the PC let alone my room. I will do it soon so thanks for giving me the idea.

---

TPBM loves to watch cooking shows.

message 7034: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I enjoy watching cooking shows very much.

TPBM has watched a cooking show and within a day or two made at least one of the things s/he saw on that show.

message 7035: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm not a big fan of cooking shows, so no. What's the point of watching one if I can't reach through the TV and eat what the chefs are making?

TPBM would describe comedian John Oliver as being "delightfully British".

message 7036: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not sure who John Oliver is, so I would say no.

TPBM watched the Sherlock Christmas special today.

TPBM hopes the jogging girl from the DeVry University commercial is carrying pepper spray since she’s all alone in a dark city.

message 7038: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. I live in Canada and so am not afraid of people being attacked.

TPBM enjoyed watching Michael Moore's film Bowling for Columbine in part because of the amazing comparison between gun ownership and gun deaths between Canadians and Americans.

message 7039: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I enjoyed it very much, especially the part where Marilyn Manson gets interviewed. Then again, I haven't seen a bad Michael Moore film yet.

message 7040: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments If I wasn't getting ready to go to bed right now, I would look it up on YouTube.

TPBM has procrastinated their responsibilities over the holidays and is now facing the consequences.

message 7041: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Considering I have agreed to edit my Deviant Art friend Zero Urrea's novel and haven't gotten started yet, I'd say that's accurate. Getting nothing done in the creativity department always leaves me feeling empty inside.

TPBM enjoys playing videogames with creatable lead characters as opposed to ones chosen by the game makers.

message 7042: by Guy (last edited Jan 01, 2016 10:52PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Oops! This was off of Garrisons' 7116. I took the time to listen, and so went out of sequence. Here it is anyway.

It was okay, but a bit too sentimental soft for me. What I thought of when listening to it was Evocation by Anna von Hausswolf. I also recommend her stunning organ and vocal performance in Funeral for my Future Children.

I don't play video games, although I like the idea of personalized character creation.

TPBM finds Guy's music selections annoying more often than interesting.

message 7043: by Garrison (last edited Jan 01, 2016 11:15PM) (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I accept the fact that the two of us have different tastes in music. Lord save us from a world where everybody thinks in unison.

TPBM thinks it’s cute whenever a mother animal of one species becomes a parent to a baby animal of another species (an example would be a zoo tiger breastfeeding piglets).

message 7044: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Absolutely!

TPBM has been very excited the past few hours and is just now feeling exhausted

message 7045: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Make that 'annoyed' rather than 'excited'.

message 7046: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments My ignorance of that fact may be for some somewhat awesome.

TPBM remembers doing giant elaborate colouring sheets in the 1970s.

message 7047: by Novia (new)

Novia Nope. born in the 80s. Although I did start buying adult coloring books a few years ago (before the recent boom). Helps with stress. Don't ask me why.

TPBM has Peter Pan Syndrome.

message 7050: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Since I haven't crashed into any chandeliers or sconces in recent history, I'd like to think not. Or maybe my eyeglasses and flying lessons have paid off.

TPBM enjoys eating banana sandwiches with a glass of milk.
