It's a rich story about redemption, of finding purpose-- and finding hope, mostly-- in the most unusual of circumstances. It's a story about the interconnectedness of life: a boy's death creates this web of human connections that cause several people's lives to become more meaningful. It's absolutely beautiful.(less)

I would also put it in the same class as The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed out the Window and A Man Called Ove. It's a wonderful story about courage and redemption and acceptance and.... Krásny, dojemný príbeh o priateľstve, láske a dobru ukrytom v ľudských srdciach. Monica Woodová mi svojou tvorbou pripomínala famózneho Fredrika Backmana a úchvatnú Holly Goldbergovú Sloanovú, takže som mala o zážitok postarané♥

Kniha mala v sebe originalitu. Postavy boli zaujímavé. Dej bol trošku predvídateľný, ...more

Taktiež nahrávky rozhovoru s Onou boli najprv zaujímavé, no potom, keď hovorila o svojej kamarátke, ma to prestalo baviť.

“You know, one meets so many people, the years pass and pass, but there are certain times, certain people— . . . They take up room. So much room. I was married to Howard for twenty-eight years and yet he made only a piddling dent in my memory. A little nick. But certain others, they move in and make themselves at home and start flapping their arms in the story you make of your life. They have a wingspan. . . .” 25 likes
