Beautiful Misery is book two in the Beautiful series. This series has endearing characters with life long friendships.

Beautiful Misery features NFL quarterback Gage Tucker. He is a bad boy and a player. He has been burned in love and wants nothing to do with it. He is hanging onto the emotions of lost love. He can’t let go of that elusive dream. But life has a way of throwing passes that take the player down.

Gage has gotten his best friend’s little sister Cobie pregnant in a one night stand entanglement. Both were on the rebound and just looking for fun. Gage is a stand up guy and does the right thing. He wants his baby and wants his life with Cobie. What starts as an unusual friendship turns into a love beyond description. They have a bright future to look forward to, a baby on the way, and a promise of a beautiful family. That is until a devastating tragedy takes all their dreams away. They have to make decisions that no person should make. They have to stand strong until fate takes their dreams away.

Can Gage find any happiness or will the tragedy scar his heart forever.

This book was a good read. I have enjoyed this series and would recommend it. The editing could be better but it is not so bad that it frustrates the reader enough to stop reading. The story can stand on it’s own and is worth the read.

I look forward to more in the Beautiful Series by Chandin Whitten.
