it was amazing

This is a story of unrequited love and what-ifs. Our main character on hearing that the love of his life was getting married about 7 years before had isolated himself on 'the Island' to try and forget and to cure his broken heart. But the thought of her never left him so he decides to go back to the city where they had been together. Whether it was fate or not they ran into each other in a bar and he discovers to his dismay that the first marriage had been over within a year and she had since remarried. He curses himself for not being around to pick her up after the failure of her first marriage. Again he runs to 'the Island'. Drowning in his own misery he has a confrontation with a fisherman one day who speaks a few home truths and opens the forlorn lover's eyes. He arranges a meeting with his former lover and plans it down to the last detail. He professes all his feelings and at last lets, her know his truth despite the consequences. We do not know what happens and we can only imagine. There has to be a follow-up...
This is gorgeously passionate, romantic, and dramatic...who doesn't love a love story?
