The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Sometimes I think I know the storyline of a book even before I've read it, simply because it's so famous. How wrong I was in the case of this novella by RL Stevenson.
I was anticipating and not particularly looking forward to a story about a man who transforms himself into a Jack the Ripper type murderer who rampages around slashing everything that moves.
I'm glad to say this is not the story. Mea Culpa. There's a great deal of introspection from the characters and much friendship and care is shown by people towards each other, except by one person and you can probably guess which one.
The book shows we all have to give thanks for what we have and that we shouldn't try and be someone we're not.
