really liked it

Isabeau is a brilliant geneticist who's thiiiis close to mapping out the vampire genome - something the vampire community is dead-set against. Morgan is a vampire concert pianist who's been in love with her forever. Even though she's engaged to someone else, he's determined she WILL be his. Until he's ordered by the vampire council to stop Isabeau from finishing her research by any means necessary--including assassination. Which Morgan is dead-set against.

I was really confused at the beginning--it took me a while to get my bearings. But once I got into it a bit, I really enjoyed this book. The author has a really unique take on vampires I found refreshingly dark. The characters and dynamics were fun, and there were plenty of twists and turns to keep me intrigued.
