“Perhaps the problem with all power was that the wrong hands reached out for it.”
This book was quiet in all the right ways. Fantasy, adventure, family, and sweet romance. Not slow, just gentle. More Diana Wynne Jones than Sarah J. Maas. True YA, with characters who act like teens, and in light of recent discussions, totally refreshing since so many YA novels dominating the shelves are actually geared toward adults who are leaning on YA because of the giant lack of a NA or a similar age range. I would have loved this book as a teen.
