it was amazing
bookshelves: 2019, scifi-fantasy, teen

Beautiful and brilliant. Those are the first words to come to mind when describing this book. I love Maas's writing and she does not disappoint in this final installment to the Throne of Glass series. There are so many twists and turns and, as usual, events do not necessarily unfold as you would expect, but everything is just so well-plotted, well-written, and well-executed. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this book, as it was a beautiful ending to Aelin's story. I took longer reading this than I usually do one these novels, partly because it is quite long, but also because I really wanted to savor every moment and I didn't want to miss a single detail. Now that I'm finished, I'm sad to be saying goodbye to these characters and I miss them already. I really want to start over from the beginning and reread the entire series once more.
