The Word Is Murder (Hawthorne and Horowitz Mystery, #1)

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS IS FICTION, ANTHONY.
Seriously, this book was a lot of fun. I didn't actually look into what it was about before starting it - I just saw that a friend read it, enjoyed it, and it feels like Horowitz is breaking into the adult lit world. (Maybe he was already? I only know his YA work.) But this was a blast. Horowitz writes himself as a Watson to his own truly developed and different Sherlock, and their relationship is not a bromance. I love the amount of details that truly had me googling if I was reading a true crime along the lines of an In Cold Blood vain.
It's a true crime cozy mystery with a Sherlock feel. I thoroughly loved it.
