I'll just say i was listening to Hesitate from Joe Jonas before starting this book and BOY HOWDY THAT WAS A MISTAKE. Hesitate makes me feel everything and then reading this??? TOO MUCH PAIN.

“I don’t actually care if you break my heart, Sebastian. I went into this knowing it could happen and I gave it to you anyway. But I don’t want you to break your own. You have so much space in your heart for your church, but does it have space for you?”

Okay, I admit the plot is MESSY af and a ton of points just don't make sense to me. How did Seb get published? What's the actual plot of Tanner's book? Are Tanner's friends real or just figments of his imagination? I am confusion.

So, yes, don't read expecting an amazing cast of characters & plot - but do read this story for an amazing discussion on religion and sexuality and handling both well.

Also, it's very sappy. I need a sappy read sometimes. That's all.
