Read 2 times. Last read January 11, 2020 to January 12, 2020.
2020 Reread: I definitely enjoyed this book more this time around, which says a lot because I rather enjoyed it last year too! I am really glad I decided to reread it because I definitely forgot we get a lot of answers before the big cliffhanger. I still have to wait 8 days, EIGHT DAYS.
Also I really love Nate and fear that because I adore him, he's going to be evil oh nooooo
********
2019: I sat and stared as I realized the book just ends on ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER.
Okay, I love both this book and the first book. But this book feels like a bridge rather than a sequel. It doesn't hold it's own plot - rather it just continue the first book's plot. And in the hands of an author (outside of a handful that I adore) this wouldn't have worked. Seriously - I think the first two books take place over 2 months?
But yet, I STILL cannot put it down. I finished it, and then debated starting the first book over again to go through this one again (I'll end up reading both again this year, I know I will.) So much and so little happens all at once AND I NEED ANSWERS SOON.
The shout out to MFM also stunned me a bit, but that's my own personal hangup with MFM.
