it was ok
bookshelves: read-2018, published-2018

I don't know what I expected this book to be - a spy vs spy novel? Something of a mystery or thriller? Rather, it's just a book about a woman who "isn't like other women" trying to run away from her past. Lippman is a decent writer, and it's an easy read, but *shrug* it's not what it's advertised as.

Tracy (A Good Novel) I'm really glad to see you say this. I got an eARC through BookShout and only made it a couple chapters in, and I had the same vibe about the female protagonist. I think the publisher hyped it too much with the Highsmith comparisons.
