That last sentence though.
I came across this book on Book Outlet while Christmas shopping, and it sounded fascinating enough to try. I had forgotten my love for Renaissance genres, though I typically ignore Shakespeare, but this spurred a reminder of a love and appreciate for both. It is wonderfully dark and and atmospheric, and I was surprised to find it was the author's first book. It was definitely a nice standalone for a dark winter season.
