A wonderful complex story about deep love, loss and fear, about turning away from life and well-kept secrets. Secrets that destroyed the most valuable ... And only the revelation of these secrets allowed at the end a kind of new beginning ...

The one is gone forever.

The other has lost everything.

A doorstep that symbolizes so much more.

Snips and bits in Will's life trying to explain what's happened.

So young. So innocent. So lost. He was taken everything. But he has the power and the wisdom to save the others at the end.

Fears of loss and morals have bound his hands. And he would have drowned in his sorrow, would not someone outstretched a hand to him. The best friend and lover who as a little boy lacks the appropriate words. Instead, he threw stones.

It is the story of two linguists who can not talk. What an irony.

I think this is not a review.

There are only a few thoughts and feelings that I have to get rid of at this moment.

Lost in the Echo is the most emotional and saddest I've ever read. And this is not an exaggeration. There are books that have made me cry. That is for sure. Lost in the Echo is different. Perhaps due to the compactness of the story. Every single word has so much power. Sentences touch the heart, grab it and wring it out. It hurts so much and makes me cry.

For me is Lost in the Echo a wonderful reminder why I like Jack L Pyke so much. Her writing style is unsurpassed.
So good. With so much wisdom, life experience, pain and grief. But under these powerful emotions is also hope. And that's good. I hope the guys find their way ...

Ryan - I hug you and wish you luck on your way <3
