it was amazing

Victor is being followed by a 4 man hit team that he is not aware of. The bounty on his head is $1 million.

But for a man who practically invented the book on staying alive, this is a child's play. Victor lays waste to the hit squad and as a reader you are wondering what next for our antihero.

Taking a break from his CIA handlers, Victor is offered a new gig this time from a former foe turned friend.

Surprise, surprise the assignment is not go bump off somebody but instead to find and protect someone. Yup the killer is now a protector. But as with Victor nothing is easy and simple, he has to face unsurmountable odds and come out on the other side with panache.

Playing the bodyguard is not easy for Victor, especially teaming up with the same people he had bloodied earlier and who are out for revenge.

"The brain learned to fear before it learned how to solve problems."

Now that's a kickass statement which applies to real life as well.

In Sinclair and Nieve, Victor finds his match for strategy, tactics, situational awareness and ruthlessness. Wanting to dispose of Victor's protectee by any means possible, Victor is facing unsurmountable odds, a ruthless and shrewd pair of killers leading a mercenary hit team. Victors survival instincts will be tested as never before. With his last protection gig from the first Victor novel ending in failure, he will lead all his skills, his training and instincts to complete the assignment.

Tom Wood crafts another brilliant adventure for Victor which is on par with the other books in the series and even takes the series further. It is another 5 star for this one from me.
