Read 2 times. Last read July 15, 2014 to July 31, 2014.

I abandoned another translation of Meditations and picked up this version. I'm extremely glad I did.

The book opens up with a significant amount of explanation of the times and philosophy's role at the time. That background reading alone was worth reading this edition.

The translation is great and modern. You won't find any thys or thous in this book. Gregory Hays did an excellent job at making a readable version.

This book contains so many great passages and lessons. If I highlighted every passage that seem meaningful I'm afraid I'd run out of space on my Kindle. I'll be returning to this book in the future.
