I read this book in my Medieval Women class last semester and it was nothing short of amazing! de Pizan gives powerful counter arguments against misogynists in her day by using virtuous women of legends and history. Women with negative reputations are shown to have positive qualities by de Pizan. Even if you aren't interested in Medieval history, give this book a chance.
