reading this book made me consider how most mental health diagnosis are really just different labels for the same thing, trauma. Thanks to Freud we spend a lot of time pathologizing survivors of violence instead of really listening to them. This book help to break that down a little bit, and gave examples of what we can learn from survivors if we stop blaming them, listened, and validated their experiences.
