really liked it
bookshelves: classic-reads, dark-fantasy, philosophy

The Anne Rice foreword was a good opener. (All my metaphors are wrapped around vampires, faeries, and eyeless women with their hearts ripped out of their chests- not in my writing, but definitely in my paintings. So I empathized with her thoughts on Kafka.) The Metamorphosis blew me away. Some of the meanderings about daily life were a bit droll, however. This is my first go at Kafka, though, so don't be too hard on my impatience.
