it was amazing

There just aren't words to describe how brilliant Jonathan Maberry is. This book has thrills, chills, intrigue, DNA manipulation, secret underground labs, eugenics, diseases turned into viruses, Neanderthals, Nazis and Josef Mengele. WOW.

Once I started reading this book, I was disappointed to find out that it was not a sequel to Patient Zero, which was my original expectation. In the end, though, that made no difference. The main character, Joe Ledger, who fought off and successfully saved the world from zombie hordes in Patient Zero, has a whole new cause to fight in this book. And you don't miss the zombies at all. :-) The good guys and the many, many bad guys face off in the battle against right and wrong. Very, very wrong. And only a brilliant mind could have come up with some of the plot lines in this amazing book.

This was a full, complete and intelligent thriller, and I didn't think that Patient Zero could be topped. I was wrong.

Jonathan Felicia...so glad you're enjoying THE DRAGON FACTORY.

There are also two free Joe Ledger short stories available online: “COUNTDOWN” is a prequel to PATIENT ZERO (http://us.macmillan.com/CMS400/upload...) and “DEEP, DARK”, which takes place just before the second book, THE DRAGON FACTORY. Here’s the link: http://jonathanmaberry.com/download-t...

A third Joe Ledger short story, “ZERO TOLERANCE” will appear in the anthology THE LIVING DEAD 2 edited by John Joseph Adams for Night Shade Books. That story is a direct sequel to PATIENT ZERO, and the anthology will be out in September.

The series has been optioned by producer Michael De Luca (Seven, Magnolia, Blade) on behalf of SONY and is in development for TV.

Happy reading...
Jonathan
